Well hello there!

I'm Ahmad Dwayke

I'm a game designer. I came to design the long way around, through programming, which is why I still open Unity before I open a document.

Games have taken me through a nine-person student team, two years of military simulators, and most recently a mobile tactical shooter where I led design and level design. The through line is that I like being the person who has to make the idea actually work.

What I do

  • Systems design, level design, and documentation. In practice that's combat and enemy behavior, weapon and class balance, mission and arena layouts, and GDDs written so a programmer or artist can build from them without asking what I meant.
  • I also scope production. Breaking remaining work into deliverables with time estimates and risk per item, so a team knows what ships and when.
  • Unity and C# mostly, some Unreal. Mobile, PC, and VR.
